This is not a generic shuttle — it’s scheduled transportation from your veteran’s home to our center and back, with drivers familiar with our participants. We also provide transportation to VA medical appointments, which is significant for veterans who rely on the VA for ongoing medical management but may not have reliable personal transportation. 

Veterans using VA-funded community care don’t need to arrange their own transportation to SarahCare. We coordinate with families to establish pickup times and routes as part of enrollment. 

What We See in Practice 

Transportation is often what makes or breaks a family’s ability to use adult day care consistently. A veteran who could benefit enormously from our programming — but who lives alone, doesn’t drive, and has family members who can’t provide daily transportation — faces a real access barrier. Our transportation program exists specifically to eliminate that barrier. We think of the pickup as part of the care, not a logistical add-on.
